Working at AE:

Teaching Positions

Advance English will often be in need of additional teachers throughout the year.

We may have the need for ongoing teachers, shorter term teaching positions, perhaps with a study tour, or especially for teachers who are available and able to teach at very short notice in an emergency or casual relief teaching situation.

In all cases, teachers need to meet the minimum requirements as specified by the National ELT Accreditation Scheme (NEAS). Please refer to their website at: http://www.neas.org.au

The requirements are that teachers have the following qualifications and experience.

A recognized pre-service teaching qualification PLUS An appropriate qualification in Teaching English as a Second Language.

OR

A recognized Bachelor's Degree or Diploma (minimum 3 years) AND A recognized Certificate (or higher) in Teaching English as a Second Language AND 800 hours of classroom teaching experience.

Advance English favorably views teachers who have experience, particularly in the Australian ELICOS sector, and especially so in terms of EAP and IELTS.

Advance English teachers are professionals and are passionate about teaching English.
Our teachers are dynamic, active and very much committed to developing their students' potential. They fully understand the great investment and trust our students place in us.

If you are interested in applying, please include your full name as the subject of your email application. Sydney Weather

Advance English endeavours to provide high quality and relevant pathway English programs to overseas students at its Sydney campus.

To ensure the highest level of satisfaction to all its stakeholders while maintaining professional, personal and academic integrity in all activities.

The main objective of the college is to provide vast academic knowledge and be in a position to provide pathway English for students who wish to pursue further studies in Australia.

The college aims to maintain quality by providing courses to only a small number of students and maintaining a good nationality mix.

Our group of highly experienced, professional teaching and administrative staff will help the college achieve its mission.

We provide a comfortable student common area with kitchen facilities to relax and chat with friends on breaks.

Our noticeboard has regular activity photo updates, things to do in the area and what’s going on in the college. We also have lots of brochures for you to read about things to do in Sydney.
